Jay’s Moving Saskatchewan Supports Special Olympics
Jay’s Moving Saskatchewan is honoured to support Special Olympics by taking a lead role in organization of the Worlds Largest Truck Convoy fundraiser.
We have been involved in this fundraiser benefitting Special Olympics since its’ Saskatchewan debut in 2007, and over the years it has grown steadily, with 42 trucks (9 of them from Jay’s) participating in the 2011 convoy.
The Special Olympics World’s Largest Truck Convoy is an annual event that is held across North America consisting of a convoy of trucks- all in support of Special Olympics.
Every year, an army of compassionate truck drivers participates in the World’s Largest Truck Convoy, driving from Saskatoon to Regina to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics athletes and to change attitudes toward people with intellectual disabilities. Truckers meet in Saskatoon and are escorted in convoy to Regina where they are welcomed by the Special Olympics community.
In 2011 the World’s Largest Truck Convoy raised $20,000 for Special Olympics Saskatchewan. Jay’s Moving Saskatchewan would like to say THANK YOU to all who were involved and we look forward to another successful convoy in 2012!
